Hi – I’m Lance Carter, a bald standup comedian from London. I’ve been doing standup since 2017 and blog about it here for anybody who’s interested to know what it’s like being a shitty standup comedy industry bottom feeder.
I mostly do open mic nights, but sometimes I get better gigs and I’ve been known to host the occasional night when promoters have been desperate. Since 2017 I’ve made approximately £150 from doing paid gigs, so I’m technically a pro act. I know I should probably quit, but I’d rather be a guy who’s trying to do standup than a guy who tried to do standup.
